The baby panda at Everland has been named 슈바오. 슈바오 is a female giant panda born on 3 June this year to the father 러바오 and the mother 아이바오. She is the fourth cub, after 푸바오 in 2020 and the twins 루이바오 and 후이바오 in 2023. She weighed 171 g at birth, but in 100 days she passed 5.5 kg, growing more than 30 times bigger. There were five candidate names, 슈바오, 유바오, 쥬바오, 린바오 and 쥰바오, and in the second round of voting, out of 220,000 votes, 슈바오 was chosen most, with 42%. Everland is considering showing 슈바오 to the public within the year.
